I would like to thank every member of St Servanus 771 for their hospitality last night prior to, during and after the meeting at the harmony.

We both found it very refreshing to have been welcomed in such a warm manner and my father remembered so fondly, Ross has now encoutered Free Masonry outside his Mother lodge which has delighted him, and promises he will continue visiting other lodges.

My intentions were to have a few words after the RWM closed the meeting, but the occasion passed me by and was lost.

I wanted to thank the RWM, PM's Office bearers, Brothers, and the new Candidate (Mr Martin) for his cool handling of his first step in Free Masonry.

I also wanted to thank the lodge for the warm welcome to Ross and myself, and the kind words spoken of my father Douglas Thomson who spent a lot of time at meetings in Alva at St Servanus 771, which i know he enjoyed.
Both Myself and Ross agreed that if we lived in the Central belt we would most definitely be regular visitors at St Servanus 771, sadly the distance to Inverness is a bit much to be regular attenders.

My special appreciation is directed to Hugh Speed who i know was a very good friend of my father, and took time to tell me some details about my father and his passing that were not known to me until last night.

Can you please forward my details on to Hugh for his records, and his to me. It may be some time before we meet up again, but i would indeed be more than happy to catch up with Hugh for any reason whether it be Masonic or otherwise in the future.

My only regret is not having visited St Servanus 771 many years before now, Ross joining the lodge has inspired me and i am delighted that i have now visited St Servanus 771.

Many thanks

Craig Thomson & Ross Thomson (St Andrews 601)
